The New Hampshire’s primary election just days away (will be held this January, 10th), and the debate intensity between the candidates is also getting closer. After the candidates competing for the Republican Presidential nomination are facing off in the Granite State on Saturday night, they will take a rest at their hotels and then it’s back to the stage. They should present their potential speech and responses on this Sunday morning, at 9 a.m. What they say about the agendas?
David Gregory, the ‘Meet the Press’ host and debate moderator said, ”It’s unusual situation to have them debating so close to each other.” Gregory added that he’s nervous because this Sunday will mark him, who began hosting ‘Meet the Press’ following the 2008 election, has moderated a presidential primary debate. It just like a marathon, it may can’t be considered as a good schedule. And while the two debates are being produced separately, there’s likely to be some level of continuity from one to the other. In the other side, Pawlenty, a supporter of Mitt Romney, said, ”I don’t want to say it’s an easy thing to do, but they’re now conditioned to keep this kind of schedule, so it’s more than manageable.” A spokesman for Rep. Ron Paul, said after Saturday’s debate that his candidate is well prepared for the next one. ”Having them so close together, I don’t see the wisdom in that, but that is the way it is so we deal with it and we are always going to be ready.”
The republican debate Saturday night, at 9 pm eastern time was featuring GOP candidates Ron Paul, Mitt Romney, Rick Santonem, Newt Gingrich, Jon Huntsman and Rick Perry. In that debate, the former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney was challenged on his frequent claims that he has done excelent numbers at jobs in the private sector. Newt Gingrich rebutted it by said Romney’s record as a ventura capitalist was one of flipping companies, talking out all the money and ‘leaving behind the workers’. The testy discussion about how many jobs were gained or lost from Romney’s work at the Bain Capital Private equity company and will be continuing this morning.
By facebook, you can participate in a real time discussion during the debate, with NBC editorial staffers monitoring the chat for substantive question. The 90 minute debate begins at 9 am and will be on air in its entirety on NBC affiliate WHDH. The first 60 minutes will be on air during the regular ‘Meet the Press’ time slot, with over 160 NBC station carrying the last half hour. Whatever the speech and whatever the schedule, it always requires the smart audiences.
