Actress Sean Young, 52, was ‘shinning’ at the Oscars moment. Not because took home some awards, but because scuffled at post-Oscars party.
Police Cmdr. Andrew Smith said, “She was trying get into the party and couldn’t get in.”
According to the Associated Press business executive, Tom Januszwski, Young, who was wearing a ball gown, was taken into custody quickly. He said he saw a guard subdue Young by placing his forearm on her neck and head while other guards placed her in handcuffs and led her away.
Finally Young was placed under citizen’s arrest at the Governors Balls at 9:25 p.m. She was booked at the Hollywood police station for investigation of misdemeanor battery. There were no details are available about the incident or the victim. In the end, she posted $20,000 bail and was released early Monday.
Young, who has starred in “Blade Runner” and “Stripes, spoke out overnight, demanding an apology from the Academy. It appeared that the actress didn’t mean to turn it become the chaotic party. The details reported by TMZ. Young was taking pictures with friends near the entrance to the Governors Ball when security guards realized she didn’t have a ticket and asked her to leave. Young left but then returned. The site said she was placed under citizen’s arrest when a guard may have touched her, and that she was accused of slapping him.
“I was just standing by the little line (outside the Governors Ball). I wasn’t bothering anybody,” said the unlucky Young.
“They said, ‘No, you have to leave,’ ” said Young.”I started to leave and the guard grabbed my arm and he started pulling me. And I turned around and I was pulling my arm away, and I struck him.”
It’s really unexpected that a ticket case could make the guard give a warning fiercely, and make an actress got an arrest. If it’s true that the guard thrown Young out roughly, Young is not totally guilty for slapping the guard. They perhaps prevented Young to be involved in the party because of her reputation. The actress tried to crash the Vanity Fair Oscar party in 2006 and in 2008 she entered rehabilitation for alcohol abuse after she was removed from the Directors Guild of America awards.
Fans agree that they will never be bored to wait and enjoy J.K Rowling’ most popular book Harry Potter. When J.K Rowling said that The Deathly Hallow is the last series of Harry Potter’s adventure, they hoped at least there will another book, another adventure, even though it will not be the next Harry Potter. And yap, it was leaked that J.K Rowling is preparing the new book. The news was already out before she tweeted, “As you may have heard, I have a new book out later this year. Very different to Harry, although I’ve enjoyed writing it every bit as much.”
According to The Guardian, Rowling’s next book will be for adults published by Little, Brown in the U.S. and U.K. So far, there’s no other details have been explained. The title, publication date and further details will be released later this year.
Remembering Little, Brown’s publisher David Shelley would be serving as Rowling’s editor, it was assumed that the novel is going to be a crime novel. Shelley’s crime fiction ties run deep: he started his career as the publishing director at Allison & Busby ‘an independent press strong in crime and thriller writing’ and ‘dragged it back into profit, introducing a line of library hardback crime novels’ before being hired away by Little, Brown to serve as ‘editorial director of crime and thrillers.’
Besides saying the book will be very different to Harry Potter, Rowling’s also said,” The freedom to explore new territory is a gift that Harry’s success has brought me, and with that new territory it seemed a logical progression to have a new publisher. I am delighted to have a second publishing home in Little, Brown, and a publishing team that will be a great partner in this new phase of my writing life.”
How vary it is, we believe the opus will be the same the surprising and unique
Talking about supermodels is not only about the beauty and body shape. The crowds believe their face, their pose, and their fame mean fantastic income. The richest supermodel title has referred to the legend Twiggy, Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, and in the latest years reportedly Tom Brady’s wife, Gisele Bündchen, is the world’s richest supermodel. By remember her assets, her career and her lifestyle, the reports are pretty undeniable. But another proof said no to the reports.
The website CelebrityNetWorth.com has released a list of the 15 richest supermodels on our earth, and the 48-year-old Kathy Ireland gets their top honors with a net worth of $350 million. Of course the estimation about how rich is Bundchen is not totally wrong, she is the runner-up. The Brazil supermodel’s net worth is estimated to be $250 million. The following are Christie Brinkley, Heidi Klum, Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Elle Macpherson, and Claudia Schiffer.
Although Ireland just like has never been assumed as the richest supermodel, the wealth is proper and reasonable for a woman who, by her own admission, barely made it through high school. The former Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition mainstay has turned into quite the businesswoman in the last 20 years. To the tune of over $350 million! This stems from Kathy’s diverse business interests which includes designing and licensing products such as furniture, rugs and flooring. The hard work led Kathy Ireland Worldwide has developed a $2 billion empire. It is ‘Billion’, with a B.
Kathy gained her popularity with Sports Illustrated‘s Swimsuit Edition, she has had a feature in each edition for 13 years straight, from 1984 to 1996, but who knew Kathy, now 48 years old, was such a business mogul? She has defined herself in a completely different way in live her career, her company’s motto being “Finding solutions for families, especially busy moms.” Not very catchy, but this allows her to sell a wide variety of household products and clothing, much like business guru Martha Stewart.
It’s not really possible to find Chris Brown, 22, and Rihanna,24, back together after Brown is currently serving five years’ probation for brutally assaulting her three years ago on the eve of the Grammy Awards. But yap, they are teaming again on collaborations. The remix of Turn up the Music is one of the ex-couple’s two collaborations that the pair intentionally leaked via Twitter on Monday.
The collaboration immediately attracted the crowd’s and media’s attention. After producers of Rihanna’s lusty track “Birthday Cake” tweeted the remix would shock the world, Rihanna was assumed would celebrate her birthday by releasing an extended take of the track featuring Brown’s vocals. Karen Civil, the hip-hop blogger, who didn’t explain the details of the collaboration on her popular, said that given Rihanna’s knack for being provocative, the track shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone.
“I think that it can only help them both at this time,” Civil said. “We can’t go back and change what’s already been done, or recorded and released in this case. Will it hurt Rihanna’s career? Perhaps, in the aspect of standing up against domestic violence. However a listener or fan cannot dictate someone’s life, and she is entitled to her own decisions.”
There was furor that the Recording Academy allowed the singer to perform twice and take home the trophy for R&B album. His awkward shuffling onstage demonstrated he hadn’t expected the win, and the relative hush of the audience seemed to say, “You should not be here.”
While the collaboration may seem doubtable to some, neither seems to care what the public thinks. She tweeted, “They can say whatever, Ima do whatever… No pain is forever <—–YUP! YOU KNOW THIS,” as well as, “Music heals the world…we need more!!!!” He tweeted, “Let them be mad!!!! We make music. Don’t like it, don’t listen!” Listen to the collaborations you were excited for/dreading/don’t care about at the link.
Yea, Experienced bad moments with Brown don’t make Rihanna think about revenge. She reconciled with Brown briefly after his arrest. “When I realized that my selfish decision for love could result in some young girl getting killed, I could not be easy with that part,” she said. “I couldn’t be held responsible for telling them ‘Go back.’ Even if Chris never hit me again, who’s to say that their boyfriend won’t?”
“Now in Birthday Cake,” she purrs, “Remember how you did it, if you still wanna kiss it, then come and get it.” On Brown’s track, she sings, “I love you, baby.”
This beautiful 24-year-old is not a superstar, but the crowd has talked about her as if she were a superstar when she was kidnapped and now, when she has married her fiancé. Yap, Elizabeth Smart has married her Scottish fiancé at a Mormon temple in Hawaii. A family spokesman, Chris Thomas, confirmed Elizabeth married Matthew Gilmour of Aberdeen, Scotland, on Saturday on Oahu’s north shore.
“Elizabeth’s desire was for what most women want — to celebrate her nuptials in a private wedding with family and close friends,” Thomas said in a statement. “She decided, about a week ago, the best way to avoid significant distraction was to change her wedding plans and to get married in an unscheduled ceremony outside of Utah.”
The couple decided to hold their special moment at the Laie Hawaii Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in front of a small group of family members, Thomas said. The group then celebrated at a private reception and luau.
“The bride and groom were beaming as they left the LDS Temple,” Thomas said. He said the couple planned to go on an extended honeymoon in an undisclosed location.
Elizabeth and the Prince Charming Gilmour got engaged last month and initially made plans to wed this summer. The wedding was held several months earlier than planned after news of her engagement last month attracted media’s attention.
In the engagement announcement, Elizabeth’s father, Ed Smart was the exited one. He told more about the fiancé and the wedding plan than the daughter did. And now he is still surprised and happy for the marriage, for the husband who will love and protect his daughter from the second kidnapping.
“We’re just thrilled that she’s married,” the daddy said in a statement, calling the ceremony a “kind of a spur-of-a-moment thing.”
Elizabeth was kidnapped at 14-year-old in Utah by Brian David Mitchell and called her kidnapping ‘nine months of hell’. Wish her now starting years of heaven with the chosen man.
The two members band Sleigh Bells has prepared their recorded tracks and they are launching their new album Reign of Terror this week via Mom + Pop. It was featured by the New York Times an a Reign of Terror full album stream this week. Sleigh Bells performed the songs Comeback Kid and End of the Line of their upcoming album Reign of Terror.
“FIRST came the recorded sound: drums and riffs, some demonically heavy marching band. Next, a couple of guys with guitars, who immediately started messing with their pedals in the darkened club. Two minutes later there was Alexis Krauss, with ripped jeans and a distinct saunter. She raised her arms as she reached the microphone, the black-haired queen of this stage. White lights exploded behind her, over a wall of Marshall stacks and an unfurled American flag,” reads the NY Times description of the live experience.
The duo which is comprised of Derek E. Miller and Alexis Krauss offer the different dynamics performances to expand the songs. They offer long-lined melodies instead of chants, more extensive layers of guitar, and lyrics that open themselves to reflection and sorrow. It’s may surprising to hear Sleigh Bells’ newer music has more on its mind than elemental impact. Under the salvos of programmed percussion, new songs like “End of the Line,” “Comeback Kid” and “Leader of the Pack” were anthems of mourning and consolation.
New episodes of Stephen Colbert‘s Comedy Central The Colbert Report were suddenly halted this week. The network spokesman, Steve Albani, had this as the only explanation, “Due to unforeseen circumstances, the show will air repeat episodes on Wednesday, Feb. 15, and Thursday, Feb. 16.”
The crowd immediately poured out their assumption about the cause. On Thursday, the Wall Street Journal reported that the schedule change was prompted by an unspecified family emergency, although production could resume as early as next week. No date was given.
The audiences who have held the ticket to Wednesday night’s show, many of whom were already at the New York City studio, received a last-minute email canceling the taping “due to unforeseen circumstances.”
Some details came from the New York Post on Friday. The newspaper, citing sources close to the show, said the host, 47, took a break because of his 91-year-old mother, Lorna Colbert – to whom Stephen, one of 11 children, is said to be very close.
In 1974, the Colberts experienced the loss of their father James and two of Stephen’s brothers, Peter and Paul, in a plane crash. So although it’s not good news, it’s pretty reasonable for Colberts to halts the show.
According to ABC News, On Wednesday morning, the show promoted what would have been on that night’s program.
“Watch Stephen help shape the message of Colbert Super PAC with the help of political strategist Frank Luntz,” read the last tweet from the Colbert Report Twitter account, suggesting the cancellation was sudden.
Colbert himself, who routinely tweets, has not updated his account since Tuesday.
Finally Malachy the Pekingese became the best in the dog show. Last year Malachy competed in the Best of Show group, but Hickory the Scottish Deerhound defeated the dog. This year the Pekingese beat out the favorites like German Shepherd, Doberman Pinscher, Irish Setter, Dalmatian, a Kerry blue terrier and wire-haired dachshund to become America’s most prized pooch in Best in Show group. He beat a prize affenpinscher called Banana Joe in a most competitive group. Malachy whose smushed-in face frames a mop of flyaway fur and whose pace rivals a snail’s put on a peak performance Tuesday night, wobbling off with best in show at the Westminster Kennel Club.
Maybe they were only dog. But that was a contest. Whatever the contest, the contestant and the winner always been highly appreciated. The crowd, especially the handler was cheering along the event and hollering the dogs name at Madison Square Garden. Malachy’s handler David Fitzpatric who’s also a co-owner always on his side. The 4-year-old dog and rivals was also excited by the yells. Malachy’s pink tongue popped out from his black face, his eyes sparkling like black diamonds and swished his tail as he soaked in the cheers.
“He saved all his energy for the ring today,” David Fitzpatrick said. “No other dog moves like this,” Yap, Malachy is supposed to move with a “slow and dignified” gait. Fitzpatrick added,” “He doesn’t run. He has a dignified Pekingese gait,”
Judge Cindy Vogels chose Malachy in front of adoring supporter. The No. 2 show dog in the nation this year had heard it before, having taken the toy group here last February.
“Super dog, and he had a stupendous night,” she said. “There’s a lot of dog in a small package.”
Malachy is the fourth Pekingese won at Westminster and the first since 1990. Fitzpatrick said Malachy was likely headed back to East Berlin, Pennsylvania for a life in retirement.
Audiences was also cheering for the other categories. From the Sporting group, the German Wirehaired, Labrador Retriever, English Setter, Irish Setter, English Springer Spaniel, Irish Water Spaniel, Wirehaired Pointing Griffon were brought down after the first cut and then the Best of Group order went 1) Emily the Irish Setter, 2) German Wirehaired Pointer, 3) English Springer Spaniel and 4) Irish Water Spaniel.

TMZ was the first media post the leaked cover of Kate Upton’s pose and it just like announced that Miss Upton will grace the cover of the 2012 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. A few of the issues arrived early to a gas station in Michigan. The blonde was a vision in the ‘minimalist red’, tall and beautiful and the pictures are already making the online rounds.
The opinions didn’t only refer to her pose in swimsuit. The crowds see the 19-year-old Upton as a stunner. Kate Upton was recently rumored to be dating Mark Sanchez of the New York Jets. But she was standing beside Giants receiver Victor Cruz in a club on Valentine day and confirmed,” “I have low self-esteem right now,” she said, still laughing. “Victor Cruz turned me down as his Valentine.”
Fans, especially men, may adore Upton as the fascinating model and some reporters and photographers have prove how elegant she was when under their direction, but apparently the Victoria’s Secret casting director, Sophia Neophitou, is not really impressed by it. According to The New York Times, she won’t choose Upton as her wings for the annual runway show.
“We would never use’ Ms. Upton for a Victoria’s Secret show. She’s too obvious and too blonde.”
The casting director also told the details why the 5-foot-10 sexy Upton wouldn’t be able to hang with Victoria’s Secret Angels Miranda Kerr, Alessandra Ambrosio and Candice Swanepoel during the nationally televised event.
“She’s like a Page 3 girl,” Neophitou continued, referencing the spread of scantily clad women that runs in the British newspaper The Sun. “She’s like a footballer’s wife, with the too-blond hair and that kind of face that anyone with enough money can go out and buy.”
The ‘most awarded woman singer in a night’ record of Beyonce finally was tied by British neo-soul songstress Adele. Adele became the sixth artist to win six awards in a night (the last was the Dixie Chicks in 2007) and the youngest act (23) to nail the top three categories.
Adele is now a six-time Grammy winner, sweeping Album, Record and Song of the Year, as well as Best Pop Vocal Album, Best Short Form Video and Best Pop Solo Performance at the 54th Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday (Feb. 12). Adele netted trophies for her record-smashing album 21 and hit singles “Rolling In The Deep” and “Someone Like You”.
Adele also presented performances to prove she’s really proper to be nominated and crowned by Grammy awards. She performs for the first time since her throat surgery last fall and she thanked the doctor who helped bring her voice back to the stage after a vocal cord hemorrhage last year. The 23-year-old singer showed off her restored vocal prowess with a dynamic reading of Rolling in the Deep and she earned a sustained ovation for the impressing voice.
Adele’s winning was little bit surprising because the most nominated act of the night is Kanye West. However West didn’t earn the disappointing result. The rapper picked up trophies for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for “All of the Lights”, and Best Rap Performance for “Otis” (with Jay-Z), and Best Rap Album for “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy”.
