Frances Bean Cobain, now 19, is the only child of late Nirvana singer Kurt Cobain and Hole frontwoman Courtney Love. Born August 18, 1992, Frances had a childhood that was unusual even by Hollywood standards. While Love tried her best to keep the young Frances out of the spotlight, the child would be occasionally photographed on Love’s arm at a movie premiere or public event. Frances Bean Cobain has discarded her childish image in a new photo shoot by French photographer and former Dior Hommes designer Hedi Slimane and she proves to be a very appealing young woman.
Other than her photo shoots by Hedi Slimane, Frances starts walking on the spotlight by giving a handful of interviews to date, including her first one in 2005 as a 13-year-old to “Teen Vogue”. Moreover, Frances Bean is planning to follow in her parent’s footsteps in the music industry. She presented her vocals as a background singer for a project called Evelyn Evelyn, a concept which was created by Dresden Dolls frontwoman Amanda Palmer and bandmate Jason Webley. Her part in the song which is described as an “anthemic ’80s power ballad” is just about the reverse of what her parents worked on in their own bands. Her vocal record hopefully will be a good start for her walking on the music business.
