he search for embattled country singer Mindy McCready and her 5-year-old son, Zander, came to an end late Friday night. Zander and his mother were found in an empty home in Heber Springs, Arkansas on December 2, Rahbany said. Officials entered the home and found the pair hiding in a closet. “The child appeared to be in good condition when we found him. He was in the closet with his mother,” said David Rahbany, the chief deputy U.S. Marshall in eastern Arkansas, according to CNN.com. Officials say that his mother, Mindy McCready, was hiding in a closet with him when law enforcement entered the home.
Now, Law enforcement in Arkansas and U.S. Marshals have Zander McCready in their custody and say that he is safe. Mindy McCready’s mother has had legal custody since 2007of Zander but when the singer has visitation rights and was with him, he and the “Ten Thousand Angels” singer were reported missing. Rahbany said officials believed that Zander and his mother might be at the home of her boyfriend David Wilson as a neighbor reported there were lights on at a nearby empty house in Heber Springs. With the case which happened to her, it’s unclear at this time whether Mindy, who’s pregnant with twins, will face criminal charges.
