Star Trek Game Announcement at U.S’s E30 comments

At Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), as the part of video game conference, Paramount Digital Entertainment has announced a new Star Trek game is coming to consoles and PC in summer 2012. Last Friday we reported that Paramount Digital Entertainment announced they were developing a new collective game for PC, PS3 and Xbox360. The game continues the adventure of JJ Abrams Star Trek movie which the game’s story will be a new chapter within the current film universe. Moreover, on Monday night at the Sony press conference at the E3 Expo in Los Angeles PDE showed the first trailer for the game which presents pre-alpha gameplay.

Instead of playing as anonymous or player-created characters, as in previous games, the gamer will be provided in the new movie universe and it makes players enable to play as both Captain Kirk and the Vulcan Mr. Spock. With cooperative gameplay, it will let two friends become these space adventuring legends. Marianne Krawczyk, writer of the action-adventure game God of War, is teaming up with Star Trek film producers and co-writers Bob Orci and Alex Kurtzman for the new story. The summer 2012 title also has included the co-operation of Bad Robot, K/O Paper Products and Damon Lindelof. Developer Digital Extremes which was well-known for Bioshock 2 and the Fall 2011 comic book video game The Darkness II, will take on development duties for the adventure.
