Aaron Rodgers is an American football quarterback for the Green Bay Packers of the NFL. The quarterback, who kept Green Bay victorious with a 25-14 victory Sunday night by throwing for 396 yards and a pair of touchdowns to rally the Packers from an early 14-point hole, appeared on a commercial advertisement. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers appears in a new State Farm commercial that taps into Rodgers’ well known championship belt move on the field. Rodgers signed with State Farm in August to join LeBron James on the insurance firm’s roster. The spot will run on network and cable.
Since becoming a starter, Rodgers has become known for his unique touchdown celebration which he and his teammates have dubbed “the Championship Belt”. After a significant play (more specifically, on any scoring plays) Rodgers celebrates by making a motion as if he is putting an invisible belt on around his waist. State Farm employees imitate Rodgers’ signature move for expressing “Discount Double Check” as they examined through people’s policies to make sure the clients getting all the discounts they deserve. It is strangely enough, when State Farm employees use the Rodgers’ touchdown celebration for State Farm’s “Discount Double Check” and Rogers states that they steal his move.
