“Person of Interest,” a new drama on CBS written and visualized by Jonathan Nolan and produced by J.J. Abrams, is based on the idea that a machine could predict murder. “Person of Interest’’ has the potential to be charged with post-9/11 politics and paranoia .The Drama television series which broadcasts on CBS debuted on September 22, 2011. The idea is that Emerson’s software billionaire, Finch, created a pattern-recognition system after 9/11 called “the machine,’’ which collects enough data off cellphones and street cameras to predict crimes. However, the program has its limitations; for example, it cannot predict whether the person will be a victim, perpetrator, or witness, nor can it predict when or where the crime will take place.
” Person of Interest” received the highest test ratings of any drama pilot in 15 years since the pilot episode won its time slot by drawing 13.2 million viewers, according to CBS. This is the series that CBS has selected to fill its impressive Thursday at 9 p.m. timeslot, the old home of former mega-hit “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.’’, which had occupied that slot for over 10 years, to Wednesday 10/9c to make room for “Person of Interest”. The new drama sounds of interest for CBS audience which will be capable of delivering some clever twists within the framework of crime drama genre.
