Keith Nichol caught a 44-yard pass from Kirk Cousins on the game’s final play for a tie-breaking touchdown, giving No. 15 Michigan State a 37-31 victory over No. 4 Wisconsin on Saturday night. Wisconsin (6-1, 2-1 in Big Ten) jumped out to a 14-0 in the first quarter but Michigan State (6-1, 3-0) scored 23 points in the second quarter. Even with everything on the line on Saturday night, the play known as “Rocket” worked again, as Cousins threw a 44-yard touchdown pass to Nichol on the final play in front of crowd of 76,405 fans at Spartan Stadium. Derrick Mason was drafted by the Tennessee Oilers in the fourth round of the 1997 NFL Draft. He played college football at Michigan State. The Jets traded Mason to the Houston Texans on October 11, 2011, in exchange for a conditional seventh-round draft pick. According to John McClain on Twitter, the New York Jets have traded WR Derrick Mason to the Houston Texans – McClain_on_NFL: “John McClain Texans have traded a conditional draft choice to Jets for WR Derrick Mason.” The fans consider that Mason can be the good player for the Houston Texans as he will be an incredible praise to Andre Johnson once AJ returns from his hamstring injury. Detroit Lions WR Calvin Johnson posted five receptions for 130 yards and a touchdown in the Week 5 game Monday, Oct. 10, against the Chicago Bears. If Johnson should continue his great play as he already has a league-best eight TD catches, there’s no reason why he couldn’t be considered a candidate for MVP. Torrey Smith who was born on January 26, 1989 is a wide receiver and kickoff returner in who was selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the 2011 NFL Draft. The Ravens drafted Torrey Smith out of Maryland in April in the hope that he could be a credible downfield target for Joe Flacco and open some room underneath for Anquan Boldin. The franchise records they got are one for most offensive yards in the first half with 406 and another for most offensive yards in a game with 533. “I’ve been practicing well for the last few weeks.
