An independent religious-themed film opens this weekend and has already sold tickets worth more than $2 million as of Wednesday, which suggests a pretty good opening weekend. The film is entitled “Courageous” which is produced by Sherwood Pictures as it was being filmed in Albany, Georgia. The new movie which opens on 1,161 screens nationwide on this September 30 is leading huge sales on Fandango.com and has been throughout the week, according to data provided by the online ticket retailer.
