Following the presentation of the update with great and amazing features of Xbox at the annual E3 trade show earlier this year, Microsoft has been rolling out significant upgrades to the internal Xbox 360 software consistently over the last few years, and this one is expected to be as big as any of the others. Following the update for Xbox 360, Microsoft was planning to release a new version of its Xbox Live dashboard, including new IPTV services from recently-signed content partners and improved Kinect navigation.
Microsoft has announced the acquisition of Austin, Texas-based game developer Twisted Pixel, the creative minds behind Xbox LIVE Arcade titles such as “Splosion Man” and the recent Kinect for Xbox 360 title, “The Gunstringer.” The upgrade is all about making the process of accessing content much faster and making content more discoverable since the restored interface will be processed easier and faster on its navigation, and Kinect voice commands will be more integrated to search for movies, music, games, and more. However, today’s update is nothing impressive and fans should wait for a month to experience the real update which will be released on public in mid to late November, with the dates November 15 and November 25.
